About

The Jackson Arts Collective is made up of visual artists, musicians, writers, poets, and everyone in between. Our goal is to work in the Jackson metropolitan area in conjunction with the city and local organizations to promote local artists. We meet this goal through making basic resources such as studio, gallery space, and materials more available. We seek to increase exposure of artists through hosting events highlighting Jackson’s artistic diversity. We facilitate events that emerge from our arts community. As a means for connecting our community and making them accessible to each other, we will provide an online, publicly editable events calendar to serve as a resource for local arts events and opportunities relating to the arts. Our hope is that the community can continue to direct itself in an increasingly more efficient manner with the aid of these resources.
